Since I married to a NERD I can totally relate. His sweet gentle nature mixed with a creative engineering mind full of mathematical efficiencies is quite attractive. Not only do we have spreadsheets, phone apps, and programs that can tell us almost to the minute our financial status, our house is literally wired for the ultimate nerdy bachelor. Our house sure seems like there are two nerdy bachelors living there, yet it is so comfortable that there isn't really a reason to add any fancy lady stuff... with spools of cable everywhere that is eagerly shared with anyone who has a project requiring networking or just about anything. Good time for nerds to finally get out of the shadows and come into the light proud of their intellect and using their brains rather than brawn to encourage the foundation of the entrepreneurial spirit, especially here in the northwest. Great post, thanks!

Re: Why It Rocks to Be a Nerd Right Now

Brian, Great entertaining post and reminder to folks that those of us who spend the time to learn these skills make the world a better place.
